Vegetarian plan. Request vegetarian meal preparation; the hotel is not a vegetarian-only property.

These retained search quotes are for the four-person final stay only; they are not freshly re-quoted in this map update. Your family has arranged the shared dates. Confirm the exact handover and any room continuity before booking. Late checkout/day use remains separate.
Stay inside the fort for walks and meals without repeated van journeys. Confirm vehicle drop-off, luggage handling and the exact stairs to your rooms.
Why choose it. A restored boutique property inside Galle Fort, with its own restaurant and pool.
Check before booking. No date-specific quote was verified. Treat this as a quality shortlist, not confirmed availability; likely the splurge here.
Vegetarian plan. Church Street Social has vegetarian options listed; ask the kitchen to confirm stock, sauces and cheese ingredients.
Why choose it. A family-run fort guesthouse with a restaurant; a good fit for the less-packaged feel you want.
Check before booking. Guesthouse comfort rather than luxury. Check bathroom/room photographs, stairs and any street noise.
Vegetarian plan. The property advertises vegetarian food options; pre-order Sri Lankan meals without fish-based ingredients.
Why choose it. A lower-cost fort base that leaves the budget for meals and experiences.
Check before booking. Confirm both rooms have the bathroom and air-conditioning arrangement you expect.
Vegetarian plan. Use the vegetarian-friendly fort restaurants in the meal plan; do not assume full-board catering.
The timing plan uses Green Parrot in Wellaodaya, outside Tangalle town. Your van makes this quieter setting practical; alternatives change local driving time.
Why choose it. A quieter garden-and-pool stay with larger rooms and the beach a short walk away.
Check before booking. Not in the town centre and not a guarantee of safe sea swimming. Request a room with easy access.
Vegetarian plan. The hotel explicitly advertises vegetarian and vegan catering. Ask about lunch as well as its breakfast/dinner plans.
Why choose it. A quieter beach property with a pool and a strong review score in the dated search.
Check before booking. A substantial price jump from Green Parrot for this stay; beach access is not a swimming guarantee.
Vegetarian plan. Restaurant on site, but the detailed lacto-ovo preparation requirements still need confirmation.
Why choose it. An alternative around Goyambokka for a different coastal base.
Check before booking. Cabanas and villas are different products. Check which category the quote uses and whether it has air-conditioning.
Vegetarian plan. Confirm vegetarian breakfast and cooked meals before choosing a board package.
This retained overnight supports Kathirkamam. Assess whether it also works for the proposed Yala morning on 22 December after the host/operator confirms pickup and the correct entrance. The safari is not booked or included in the retained timetable.
Why choose it. A smaller, personal stay with on-request meals, suited to a temple-focused stop.
Check before booking. Outside the main complex; use the van. Confirm both room categories and meal times directly.
Vegetarian plan. Vegetarian/vegan breakfasts are listed; arrange lunch and dinner with the host in advance.
Why choose it. More of a conventional hotel, with restaurant, pool and reception services.
Check before booking. Its review score in this search is lower than the smaller first choice; star category alone is not the deciding factor.
Vegetarian plan. Request a separately prepared vegetarian meal; do not depend on buffet labels.
Why choose it. A low-cost base for a single night, leaving room in the budget for other stays.
Check before booking. Confirm the precise room specification and meal arrangements; do not assume full-service facilities.
Vegetarian plan. Breakfast is listed; other meals need a host arrangement or an agreed restaurant.
Pay for a view only after seeing the actual room category. Check steps between the van, bedrooms and restaurant; a hillside view can mean more stairs.
Why choose it. A smaller hillside hotel with valley views and on-site dining, rather than a basic room on the main strip.
Check before booking. No December quote was verified. Expedia lists no lift: request the easiest-access rooms and inspect the step count.
Vegetarian plan. Mixed-cuisine restaurant; ask for a specifically prepared lacto-ovo vegetarian menu.
Why choose it. A tea-estate resort and the stronger option for a destination-hotel experience.
Check before booking. No dated quote verified. Ask about terrain, room access and ventilation/air-conditioning for the exact category.
Vegetarian plan. Vegetarian/vegan options are listed; confirm ingredients and meal-plan inclusions.
Why choose it. A smaller view-focused guesthouse at a verified search price for this stay.
Check before booking. Check road access, stairs, bathrooms and whether breakfast or dinner can be supplied.
Vegetarian plan. Food arrangements need direct confirmation; use Cafe Chill or pre-arranged hotel meals as backups.
Choose a Batticaloa base for town, lagoon and family interests—not a distant Pasikuda resort that adds commuting. Check Christmas meal surcharges.
Why choose it. A lagoon-side hotel with restaurant, pool, parking and lift listed in the search.
Check before booking. This is a practical facilities choice, not a luxury promise. Review recent room photos; no review score was returned in this search.
Vegetarian plan. Request all three meals explicitly. Sri Kishna Cafe is the vegetarian restaurant backup.
Why choose it. A well-reviewed smaller option with air-conditioning, parking and breakfast service listed.
Check before booking. Less full-service than East Lagoon; confirm room size and meal availability.
Vegetarian plan. Ask for vegetarian breakfast; plan lunches and dinners at the named cafe or by advance order.
Why choose it. A small lagoon-front villa option for a more personal stay.
Check before booking. Confirm two private bedrooms/bathrooms, cooling and van parking. The review sample is small and the search does not establish exclusive villa use.
Vegetarian plan. A restaurant is listed; bespoke vegetarian meals need confirmation.
One night for Koneswaram and a comfortable rest. Uppuveli is more useful here than a distant northern beach resort.
Why choose it. A full-service Uppuveli base with pool, restaurant and parking, useful for a short family stay.
Check before booking. Do not pay extra expecting guaranteed beach weather or swimming. Request rooms close together.
Vegetarian plan. Special-diet menus are listed on request; the kitchen must confirm all sauces and stocks.
Why choose it. A lower-cost coastal property with a restaurant.
Check before booking. Farther north than central Uppuveli; include the extra drive to the temple and town.
Vegetarian plan. Confirm vegetarian food preparation and operating meal times.
Why choose it. A smaller Uppuveli stay with a pool at a lower search price.
Check before booking. Smaller review sample and fewer hotel services; check bathrooms and exact room type.
Vegetarian plan. Use the named vegetarian town restaurants; breakfast availability needs checking.
A comfortable one-night base matters more than a long list of resort facilities. The van handles transfers between the spread-out heritage sites.
Why choose it. A garden hotel with a pool and in-house restaurant; a useful place to rest between visits.
Check before booking. Not within walking distance of every sacred-city site. Confirm easy-access rooms and the meal plan.
Vegetarian plan. Heladiv Bojun is on site; pre-order dhal, vegetable curries and rice made without animal stock.
Why choose it. A boutique alternative with a pool and a strong dated-search review score.
Check before booking. A higher one-night spend; check the exact road location against the sites you want to visit.
Vegetarian plan. Restaurant on site; confirm the vegetarian brief with the kitchen.
Why choose it. A smaller stay at a much lower price with air-conditioning and a restaurant listed.
Check before booking. Confirm access to the chosen room and the level of comfort expected from a guesthouse/B&B.
Vegetarian plan. Ask for vegetarian breakfast and a pre-ordered evening meal.
Mannar was added for Thiruketheeswaram in the older temple plan and is now under review. These retained hotel options are relevant only if that overnight is kept; no replacement dates have been agreed.
Why choose it. A town-base option with restaurant, air-conditioning and parking, sensible for one temple-focused night.
Check before booking. Simple rather than luxurious. Ask for recent bathroom photos and confirm both rooms.
Vegetarian plan. Special-diet meals are listed on request; pre-order lunch/dinner instead of relying on walk-in choice.
Why choose it. The option to compare for a more substantial retreat experience and on-site dining.
Check before booking. Much more expensive in the dated search and farther west on the island. Do not confuse it with similarly named budget properties.
Vegetarian plan. Request vegetarian Northern Sri Lankan dishes from the restaurant; it also serves non-vegetarian food.
These options apply only to the independent 29–31 December stay for four adults in two rooms. From 31 December, use the accommodation organised by your family. Staying at the same property beforehand may avoid moving, but the shared hotel name has not been provided.
Why choose it. Pool, lift, parking and a restaurant make this an easy base for the whole family.
Check before booking. Confirm the shared hotel with your family before booking 29–31 December; room continuity is possible only if it is the same property. A review score is not a guarantee of dietary preparation.
Vegetarian plan. Vegetarian options are listed; ask the kitchen for the complete brief and use local pure-vegetarian restaurants.
Why choose it. The strongest dietary fit to enquire about: the property explicitly serves vegetarian meals only and is near Nallur.
Check before booking. No quote or two-room availability was verified for the independent dates. Confirm the hotel, not the separate villa product. The hotel’s published direct-booking terms include non-refundable bookings in this season; read the exact rate conditions before paying.
Vegetarian plan. Official policy: vegetarian meals only and alcohol-free. Ask about eggs and ingredient handling; egg-free meals also fit your diet.
Why choose it. A smaller garden property with a restaurant, parking and a strong review score.
Check before booking. Check room access for your two independent rooms. Confirm the shared property separately; no third room or same-hotel arrangement is assumed.
Vegetarian plan. Special-diet menus are listed on request; obtain the same written ingredient confirmation.
Accommodation is arranged by your family. The van and meal plan will use the actual property once its location is known. There is no recommendation to make another booking.
Accommodation is arranged by your family. The van and meal plan will use the actual property once its location is known. There is no recommendation to make another booking.
The retained independent-stay quotes use the shown overnight dates and two rooms for four adults. Shared accommodation is family-arranged and excluded from booking requirements. Displayed quotes are search snapshots, not reservations; room/board/tax/cancellation details need verification at checkout.
Official property information and accessible listings were checked. Comparable checkout totals for your exact dates were not accessible on every site. Rates displayed for other dates have not been reused as trip quotes.
This is not every website or every available hotel. Fort Bazaar, EKHO Ella, 98 Acres, Jaffna Heritage and Jetwing Lake are suitability recommendations without a verified dated quote. Their availability remains open.
Same property and room category, same adults/rooms, same board basis, all taxes and gala fees, refund deadline, payment currency and card fees. Ask every hotel about vegetarian preparation and separate driver accommodation/meals.
All 27 dates have breakfast, lunch and dinner: 81 planned meal slots, including the outbound travel day. Eggs and dairy are allowed—not required.
Send this brief to hotels, restaurants and family hosts. Mixed kitchens must confirm ingredients and preparation.
Restaurant named: the venue has relevant evidence or listed vegetarian options. Exact opening, menu, ingredients and reservations still need reconfirmation.
Hotel / host meal: a suggested dish and time to request, not a claim that every hotel serves that exact dish. Place the order ahead, especially on arrival and Christmas/New Year days.
Family lunch: only when invited and arranged. A packed vegetarian alternative is specified; no obligation is being placed on relatives.
Long transfer: pack the day’s lunch ahead. Choose shelf-stable food or use an insulated cold bag for perishable ingredients; do not carry unchilled egg, dairy or cooked rice for hours.
Flights: ask Singapore Airlines for VLML — Vegetarian Lacto-Ovo Meal on each sector, for each passenger. It can include eggs/dairy but no meat or seafood. The airline’s general deadline is at least 24 hours before departure; confirm availability in your booking. [15]
Not HNML: Singapore Airlines identifies that as a non-vegetarian Hindu meal. The return flights on 11 January need the correct meal request too. [15]
Official menus/policies are used where available; review and travel-directory listings are weaker evidence. The driver should confirm the correct current branch, holiday hours and the food brief before each visit.

Proposed priorities: Nallur, Thirukoneswaram and Kathirkamam. Naguleswaram remains optional; Mannar and Chilaw remain under review.
The south
Proposed priority. Keep Kathirkamam on 21 December while assessing Yala for the following morning.
Trincomalee
Proposed priority, fitting the existing Trincomalee stay without a separate temple excursion.
Mannar
Under review. Mannar was added for this temple in the older plan; the overnight is not essential to the proposed priorities.
Jaffna
Proposed priority within the Jaffna stay; fit the visit around family places and local arrangements.
Keerimalai, Jaffna
Optional on a suitable family route, without a significant detour. No fourth priority has been selected.
Near Chilaw
Under review. This dedicated Chilaw outing came from the older temple list; omit it if there is no separate family reason to go.
Ask the driver to confirm opening and puja times directly. Seetha Amman near Nuwara Eliya and a Colombo kovil can be convenient extras, not another checklist. Kandy’s Temple of the Tooth is an optional Buddhist cultural visit, separate from the proposed temple priorities. [8] [9]
*The Jaffna dates are interchangeable within your stay, depending on family addresses and the shared group. The temple information links are references—not confirmation of December/January opening arrangements.

Go to the airport on the evening of 10 January. You return to Western Sydney International (WSI), not Kingsford Smith (SYD).
All times local, from the supplied ticket. Live flight status and other travellers’ bookings have not been checked; reconfirm with the airline before travel.
Accommodation from 31 December–6 January is organised by your family. Independent hotel recommendations are for two rooms. Confirm the shared hotel names and final check-out date so pickup times and the final Colombo booking do not overlap.
Book the van and driver for the entire journey: the late arrival pickup on 15/16 December through the airport drop on the evening of 10 January. This includes local outings, family visits, rest days and Colombo—not only the main road circuit.
Confirm space for ten passengers plus the driver and all luggage during the shared section. The vehicle arrangement and capacity are not yet confirmed. Ask for the actual vehicle, functioning seatbelts, rear air-conditioning and luggage photos.
Agree fuel, tolls, parking, mileage, waiting, driver meals and accommodation, rest breaks and any overtime in writing. Hotels’ displayed room quotes do not include the driver’s room or meals.
Full-trip service does not mean 24-hour continuous duty. Protect rest after the arrival pickup and before the 05:15 departure on 2 January. No optional evening detours after long driving days; never rush to recover a delayed schedule.
Collect the childhood homes, schools, kovils and relatives’ addresses from both families. Group nearby places together and ask permission before entering private homes or schools.
December–February is the northeast monsoon period. Use the east coast for culture and scenery, not a promise of beach weather. Recheck local weather and road conditions. [10]
No staged village packages, animal rides, compulsory shops or paid photo setups. Every planned meal is lacto-ovo vegetarian, with ingredient checks and advance ordering. Longer walks remain optional. Yala on 22 December is proposed and unbooked, with the timetable still to agree.
Basis: your itinerary discussion, the fixed 31 December–6 January family route, the proposed temple shortlist and supplied flight ticket. The independent sections have four people; the shared block has 10 people. Exact joining/departure flights for relatives are not assumed.
Draft choices: the specific touring dates outside the fixed block, Mannar on 28 December, Munneswaram on 8 January, the proposed Yala safari on 22 December and the order of Jaffna visits remain unconfirmed. Independent rooms are for four adults; shared hotel details come from your family. No hotel, van, guide or activity booking is implied. The page is not live navigation and does not verify future opening hours, tickets or weather.
Public references: temple identity/location and general heritage or seasonal context were checked against the sources below on 1 November 2026. Dates in this plan are our proposed allocations, not dates published by the sites.
Prices and site coverage: dated Booking.com connector searches supply the numeric quotes and review snapshots. Direct-property websites, public Expedia/Hotels.com/Trip.com/Agoda/Google Hotels listings supply additional suitability evidence where accessible. Other-date prices and unauthenticated checkout failures are not represented as comparable rates. This is not an exhaustive market search or a claim of the lowest available price. Property and restaurant evidence links are attached to the relevant cards.
Timing method: conservative road-planning allowances, comfort breaks, meals and visits—not a live route calculation. Door-to-door timings must be reviewed with the driver after hotel and family-address confirmation. Weather, access, queues and puja schedules may require changes.
Map update: the geography is an illustrative overview using generalized GSHHG coastline data (via Basemap). Place pins are approximate; temple coordinates were cross-checked against public map listings where available. OpenStreetMap-derived location references are credited to © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL); the embedded point/route data are available in the page source. Road routing has not been computed. The map does not include private family addresses.

Everyone is permitted to copy and distribute verbatim copies
of this license document, but changing it is not allowed.
This version of the GNU Lesser General Public License incorporates
the terms and conditions of version 3 of the GNU General Public
License, supplemented by the additional permissions listed below.
0. Additional Definitions.
As used herein, "this License" refers to version 3 of the GNU Lesser
General Public License, and the "GNU GPL" refers to version 3 of the GNU
General Public License.
"The Library" refers to a covered work governed by this License,
other than an Application or a Combined Work as defined below.
An "Application" is any work that makes use of an interface provided
by the Library, but which is not otherwise based on the Library.
Defining a subclass of a class defined by the Library is deemed a mode
of using an interface provided by the Library.
A "Combined Work" is a work produced by combining or linking an
Application with the Library. The particular version of the Library
with which the Combined Work was made is also called the "Linked
Version".
The "Minimal Corresponding Source" for a Combined Work means the
Corresponding Source for the Combined Work, excluding any source code
for portions of the Combined Work that, considered in isolation, are
based on the Application, and not on the Linked Version.
The "Corresponding Application Code" for a Combined Work means the
object code and/or source code for the Application, including any data
and utility programs needed for reproducing the Combined Work from the
Application, but excluding the System Libraries of the Combined Work.
1. Exception to Section 3 of the GNU GPL.
You may convey a covered work under sections 3 and 4 of this License
without being bound by section 3 of the GNU GPL.
2. Conveying Modified Versions.
If you modify a copy of the Library, and, in your modifications, a
facility refers to a function or data to be supplied by an Application
that uses the facility (other than as an argument passed when the
facility is invoked), then you may convey a copy of the modified
version:
a) under this License, provided that you make a good faith effort to
ensure that, in the event an Application does not supply the
function or data, the facility still operates, and performs
whatever part of its purpose remains meaningful, or
b) under the GNU GPL, with none of the additional permissions of
this License applicable to that copy.
3. Object Code Incorporating Material from Library Header Files.
The object code form of an Application may incorporate material from
a header file that is part of the Library. You may convey such object
code under terms of your choice, provided that, if the incorporated
material is not limited to numerical parameters, data structure
layouts and accessors, or small macros, inline functions and templates
(ten or fewer lines in length), you do both of the following:
a) Give prominent notice with each copy of the object code that the
Library is used in it and that the Library and its use are
covered by this License.
b) Accompany the object code with a copy of the GNU GPL and this license
document.
4. Combined Works.
You may convey a Combined Work under terms of your choice that,
taken together, effectively do not restrict modification of the
portions of the Library contained in the Combined Work and reverse
engineering for debugging such modifications, if you also do each of
the following:
a) Give prominent notice with each copy of the Combined Work that
the Library is used in it and that the Library and its use are
covered by this License.
b) Accompany the Combined Work with a copy of the GNU GPL and this license
document.
c) For a Combined Work that displays copyright notices during
execution, include the copyright notice for the Library among
these notices, as well as a reference directing the user to the
copies of the GNU GPL and this license document.
d) Do one of the following:
0) Convey the Minimal Corresponding Source under the terms of this
License, and the Corresponding Application Code in a form
suitable for, and under terms that permit, the user to
recombine or relink the Application with a modified version of
the Linked Version to produce a modified Combined Work, in the
manner specified by section 6 of the GNU GPL for conveying
Corresponding Source.
1) Use a suitable shared library mechanism for linking with the
Library. A suitable mechanism is one that (a) uses at run time
a copy of the Library already present on the user's computer
system, and (b) will operate properly with a modified version
of the Library that is interface-compatible with the Linked
Version.
e) Provide Installation Information, but only if you would otherwise
be required to provide such information under section 6 of the
GNU GPL, and only to the extent that such information is
necessary to install and execute a modified version of the
Combined Work produced by recombining or relinking the
Application with a modified version of the Linked Version. (If
you use option 4d0, the Installation Information must accompany
the Minimal Corresponding Source and Corresponding Application
Code. If you use option 4d1, you must provide the Installation
Information in the manner specified by section 6 of the GNU GPL
for conveying Corresponding Source.)
5. Combined Libraries.
You may place library facilities that are a work based on the
Library side by side in a single library together with other library
facilities that are not Applications and are not covered by this
License, and convey such a combined library under terms of your
choice, if you do both of the following:
a) Accompany the combined library with a copy of the same work based
on the Library, uncombined with any other library facilities,
conveyed under the terms of this License.
b) Give prominent notice with the combined library that part of it
is a work based on the Library, and explaining where to find the
accompanying uncombined form of the same work.
6. Revised Versions of the GNU Lesser General Public License.
The Free Software Foundation may publish revised and/or new versions
of the GNU Lesser General Public License from time to time. Such new
versions will be similar in spirit to the present version, but may
differ in detail to address new problems or concerns.
Each version is given a distinguishing version number. If the
Library as you received it specifies that a certain numbered version
of the GNU Lesser General Public License "or any later version"
applies to it, you have the option of following the terms and
conditions either of that published version or of any later version
published by the Free Software Foundation. If the Library as you
received it does not specify a version number of the GNU Lesser
General Public License, you may choose any version of the GNU Lesser
General Public License ever published by the Free Software Foundation.
If the Library as you received it specifies that a proxy can decide
whether future versions of the GNU Lesser General Public License shall
apply, that proxy's public statement of acceptance of any version is
permanent authorization for you to choose that version for the
Library.
